ShineyGoat.com was created with one goal in mind, to bring the finest , small batch, superior quality, handcrafted soaps and bath and body products to those outside Central Wisconsin. Harsh, dangerous chemicals are everywhere in our work-a-day world, so why on Earth would you want them taking a bath with you? We have long used the quality, handmade goat's milk soaps and shea butter skin care products that Dancy Rose Soaps produces and we believe in them. The simple truth is there is no other soap in our bathrooms. After years of stocking up ourselves and giving countless gift baskets for every occasion imaginable, consistently being asked "how do I get more of that awesome soap?", the concept for ShineyGoat.com hit us. Fact is, we felt guilty that Dancy Rose Soaps were hard to find here in rural Central Wisconsin, and sadly, unheard of anywhere else. So, we began our foray into internet marketing. After 2 years of bringing Dancy Rose Soaps to you, our friend Rosie decided to close up shop to persue other oportunites. Fortune smiled on us and we were able to buy the recipies for some of the bath and body products you love, send Gitcher to the kitchen and put our own twist on an already good recipie and make it better. Manufacturing our own products under our own lable means we can offer you the same quality products at even better prices. We pride ourselves in bringing our line of natural, eco-friendly bath and skin care products to the internet. Small batch quality, packed with as much natural goodness as possible, and a labor of love at that....direct from our kitchen to you, our valued customer. That's a feel good combination. Our network utilizes a Linksys router, a division of Cisco Systems, Inc. This gives our network layers of security, with layering being the best form of security against hacker attacks. A few things about our network security:
We utilize 256-bit encryption protocol. This means that data is encrypted utilizing a 256-bit key before being sent. The recieving unit must have this key to unlock the encryption or the information cannot be accessed. The longer the key, the stronger the encryption. Our router cannot be accessed by wireless means by any computer without this key.
We utilize NAT (Network Address Translation) technology as another layer of security. Essentially, this technology hides any and all accessing computers behind the router so a hacker cannot see into the network and in essence, sees only the router.
Our network also utilizes SPI (Stateful Packet Inspection) as another layer of security. This is a firewall that inspects incomming data to be sure it corresponds to an outbound request for that data. If incomming data was not requested, it is rejected from the network and your data is safe.
As a final means of security, we suggest you inspect your monthly credit card statements. This way you can spot any potentially fraudulent activity quickly and contact your credit card agent to rectify the situation quickly before a thief can hurt your hard earned credit rating. Whoa...did you know that Dancy Rose Soaps is closing up shop? Yep, sad but true. Rosie has had to curtail her soap making to pursue other opportunities. Does that mean ShineyGoat is closing up too? Heck no, my friends. ShineyGoat is going to take on the mantle of production. You'll find great soaps and skin care products at this same site under our own lable. Sometimes when life hands you a lemon you just gotta make lemon-aide. And what do you know...we just happen to already own the lemon-aide stand...Yippie!
